Foot and Ear

We went on Friday night to join a group of prayer warriors who form a part of a missions prayer group that has been meeting monthly for forty to fifty years. This was the first in-person meeting since Covid forced the group to meet on Zoom and we were all very excited to be back meeting in the familiar, warm hospitality of a welcoming home.

One of the Ugandan pastors came with my wife and me and, for the group’s encouragement, we were all sharing about some of the works of God in Fintona last weekend.

After we had shared and prayed together, one of the women present, who had attended a meeting on the previous Saturday, began to share with great excitement and thrill about how the LORD had touched her and healed her twice in that meeting.

She heard the preacher share how God was healing someone with a pain in the lower calf of the leg, and, speaking to people who were aware of her “stiff” right foot and her inability to flex it like her normal other foot, she had discovered at Saturday’s meeting that her foot was now flexing normally without pain. And to demonstrate this she was moving the foot easily before us all.

Not only that, but the preacher that Saturday later mentioned that God was healing and opening deaf ears. This dear woman had been recently diagnosed with hearing loss in her left ear and she reached out in faith to receive that healing too. She was then aware that she was hearing better from that moment and later, after a couple of days, she asked her daughter if she felt like her mum was hearing her better. The daughter was very quick to say that, ‘Yes! You are!’

We all rejoiced with our sister as she shared these two encouraging healings from the meeting the previous weekend.
