Events in Ecuador

Since leaving Ireland, we had a whirlwind visit to Hemet, a desert town in California, seat of the Simply the Story headquarters, before travelling a couple of days to reach the Andes mountains, north of Quito in Ecuador.

Leaving behind the warmth of Southern California, we reached another Summer location, but with daytime temperatures of about 15ºC (59ºF). Here in the little neighbourhood of Punkuwayku (Punguhuaico in Spanish) Amarilis and I began a small advanced storytelling training for graduates of last year’s basic training.

From the very outset, it has been marvellous seeing the LORD reach out in healing of past hurts and other ways to touch the lives of both instructors and attendees. We continue to work with the enthusiastic group, helping them learn how to more deeply lead ministry through storytelling and discussion among any audience.
