Jungle storytelling in Ecuador
Some of our young trainees from the Andes’ trainings, with their parents’ permission, decided to hop in the car (of adult trainees and instructors) heading to the jungle and they began storytelling there. They had never been in the jungle before and were amazed at the difference in heat and animals and food.
When an 11-year old and a 9-year old from the mountains began telling stories to other children in the jungle those jungle kids were wondering where they could learn to “tell stories just like that”.
So this week we have a contingent of children and young people from the jungle here to learn Bible storytelling, alongside a fuller group of adults. A couple of the kids are pictured above - one in each small group.
Here pictured also are brand new, first-time storytellers doing their stuff and leading 30-minute presentations of Bible stories to both children and adults.
We are on the second day of training here in the jungle, and have already had some children presenting today.
